This new Chinese-developed vaccine holds a promising cure against the plague of clogged arteries, which lead to strokes and heart attacks. Atherosclerosis- the medical term for it- is one of the globe’s top killers, where fatty clots plug arteries and lead to swelling.
Arteries that are narrowed and calcified produce obstructions leading to life-threatening diseases such as heart attack, stroke, or aneurysm. Scientists have long theorized that it can be avoided by taking vaccines.

A research in the journal Nature Communications now shows a promising vaccine on mice that successfully removed atherosclerosis. The scientists at Nanjing University of Science and Technology said their “nano-vaccine” is worth considering as a preventive treatment. Early signs are that it could train the body to fight the fatty plaques in arteries.
While the vaccine is not yet available for use in humans and is still being tested, this discovery is promising for a time when deadly heart and blood vessel disease can be prevented with a simple shot.
